NATIONAL OFFICE – Eric Hansen, BKD’s chief operating officer, has been named chairman of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (the Association). This is the global accounting organization formed by members of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA).
“Having Eric in this influential post enhances our reputation and gives us better optics on the expansive spectrum of issues affecting our profession,” said BKD CEO Ted Dickman.
The governing councils of the AICPA and CIMA approved the one-year appointment of Hansen, who also serves as chair of the AICPA. Hansen is the first BKD partner to ever serve in either capacity. He will work closely with CIMA President and Association Vice Chairman Steven Swientozielskyj FCMA, CGMA.
The Association—which has 667,000 members and students across 184 countries and territories—works to develop the tools, resources and insights its members need to help clients and businesses stay ahead in a volatile and rapidly changing business environment.
