The recently released proposed regulations relating to gains that may be deferred as a result of a taxpayer's investment in a qualified Opportunity Zone Fund are a mix of surprises that address part of the outstanding questions on this new law. In this 60-minute presentation, Derek Smith and Michael Hill will look at key parts of the proposed regulations and identify related tax planning opportunities.
